While making a backcountry expedition below the North Rim, I stopped to grab my camera when the sun opened up from behind clouds to illuminate Vishnu Temple. This view is only possible by making an arduous trek including an 80-foot rappel over a sheer cliff. Desert View Watchtower is a tiny speck on the distant South Rim.
