At the far eastern end of Grand Canyon, Desert Watchtower rises from the South Rim to give visitors a fantastic view of the Colorado River, Painted Desert and of course the gorge below. The building itself, designed by architect Mary Colter, also provides scale for photographs of the Canyon. This print is made with a 35mm film transparency.
